TESTIMONIALS

Fern Lulham

BBC Radio Broadcaster

I have known Tom for several years now, after meeting him at Eastbourne Speakers Club and on public speaking circuits. His enthusiasm and passion for his work and public speaking was apparent from the start. He can be both professional and personable, with a kind, friendly demeanour. His excellent interpersonal skills make him a good networker and he is able to blend honesty and humour in a compelling and engaging way.

I continue to work with Tom and support him on matters of public speaking, inclusivity and disability in the construction and design industry.

Michael Karling

Mechanical Engineer at NDY

I had the pleasure of working with Tom on Claremont Senior School which is in the process of handing over. The project, as with all construction, had its challenges but Tom worked well to manage the project stakeholders and was an excellent collaborative partner in developing an integrated Architectural and M&E solution.

Poorang PIROOZFAR

MArch, PhD, PGCert HE, FHEA, MIRCEO, FCIAT, Reader in Architectural Technology and Digital Construction, University of Brighton

I have had the pleasure of teaching Tom while he was studying for his BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology degree at School of Environment and Technology, Univeristy of Brighton few years ago and as a young professional colleague and a good friend ever since.

Tom studied for his degree in part-time mode, and managed to graduate with a first class honours receiving both CIAT Award for Excellent Performance during the course and CIAT South East Region Award for the Best Architectural Technology Dissertation, while at the same time working in professional practice.

Tom’s enthusiasm about technology and design together with his passion for learning and exploring combined with his dedication to the profession, care for people and willingness to give back to the community of practice to which he belongs are just to name but a few of his personal characteristics and professional qualities which make working with him an absolute pleasure.

I, therefore, have no hesitation to fully and completely recommend him unreservedly.

I taught Tom whilst a tutor in the Built Environment Department at Ashford College, formerly South Kent College, where Tom was a student on the HNC Construction Studies which we delivered under franchise and as a partner college of the University of Kent.

Tom was a delight to teach and his attitude towards learning was exemplary. Tom’s coursework submissions were of the highest quality. Tom achieved a Distinction overall which sums up his efforts on the course.

Tom was nominated for Student of the Year.

Freelance writer and trainer

I have known Tom for several years through Battle Speakers Club, where he is the current President. Tom has developed into a fantastic speaker and a great leader. He has a calm but compelling presence and his style is a good balance between formal and familiar, with a sprinkling of humour.

He is conscientious and a man of integrity – I would have no hesitation at all in recommending Tom.

Director of Interkultural and Entrepreneur

Tom is an architect of words. As a fellow founding member of Sussex Online Speakers, he orchestrates both prepared and impromptu speeches with a pint of humor and a little sarcasm. This endorsement is a measure of his talent for communication leadership and sound storytelling structure.
